This four week scheme focuses on exposing students to a range of examples taken from Gothic and Dystopian texts. Each week ends with a practice assessment, which alternates between language analysis and creative writing. Feedback from students and staff was incredibly positive for this scheme and we saw an increase in students taking out books from the library linking to their learning from this scheme.
It was originally created with a high ability year 8 in mind, but could easily be adapted for other year groups.
