42: Jackie Robinson Movie Guide | Worksheet | Questions | Google (PG13 - 2013) challenges students to analyze this heroic story of Jackie Robinson, the first African American player in the MLB. This historic event of significant consequence is a great way to teach students about the mistakes of the past and how not to repeat them. Explore how role models affect a young boy in the stands and ask students to describe how they would’ve tried to change their teammates perspective on Jackie. Finally, identify the characteristics of bullies by studying Ben Chapman’s character.
This resource consists of 12 high-level, short answer and essay questions that will do more than just ask your students to regurgitate information.
