These maths loop games are a great mental maths starter or end-of-lesson activity. The low-prep loop cards will make practicing the key maths operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication & division - fun & help with fact fluency. Students will develop mastery and will love to get faster to complete the loop.

5 add, subtract, multiply & divide games will make practicing maths skills fun in Key Stage 2. They are easy to prep - just print, cut up & you are ready to play. Easy setup and student instructions make these activities perfect for a fun stand-alone activity when you have to fill in 10 or 15 minutes, independent games, centres and substitute days.

How quickly can we get to complete the loop? Time them, swap cards and see if you can beat the timer. Write the target time on a board and try at other times in the week - a great way of practicing maths skills.
The games are easy to play - each player gets a card. They say their calculation and players have to see whether this matches the answer on their cards, then it is their turn until the loop is finished.
Students won’t realize how much they are getting better at these key maths skills. Your students will practice working out the answers and checking with other players if they are correct.

Calculations are differentiated with easier and harder ones to work out. These are listed so that you can hand these out according to students’ abilities and it is a more equal game.
