8. Multiplication and Division (2): divide 2-digits by 1-digit (1) worksheets (Y4)

These ready-to-use worksheets allow teachers to provide tasks to Year 4 children on the maths topic of divide 2-digits by 1-digit.
They form part of a series of lessons on multiplication and division which include coverage of the objectives:
• Recall and use multiplication and division facts for multiplication tables up to 12 x 12
• Use place value, known and derived facts to multiply and divide mentally, including: multiplying by 0 and 1; dividing by 1; multiplying together three numbers
• Recognise and use factor pairs and commutativity in mental calculations
• Multiply two and three digit numbers by a one digit number using formal written layout
• Solve problems involving multiplying and adding, including using the distributive law to multiply two digit numbers by one digit, integer scaling problems and harder correspondence problems such as n objects are connected to m objects.
These worksheets link well with White Rose Maths – Multiplication and Division (Spring Block). They are available as part of the divide 2-digits by 1-digit lesson pack.
The worksheets are editable, giving you the option to make any changes you feel necessary with the knowledge you have about your class and school setting.

Please note: there are two levels of differentiation in the worksheets - aimed at higher ability and middle ability pupils. The sheets are designed so that lower ability pupils can complete the middle ability work with adult support in using manipulatives.
