A series of walking/talking intervention lessons (AQA Language P1 and P2)

I am pleased to add a full term’s worth of walking/talking intervention lessons for AQA Paper 1 and 2.

These lessons were designed for a group of under-achieving students (mainly boys) who were far from target.

The lessons include a variety of engaging sources: Paper 1: Halloween/Amityville Horror/Lions of Tsvao; Paper 2: Majorca/Beaches/Television/Boxing.

Inluded within the lessons are full model responses for each of the Q5s on both papaers as well as an innovative approach to writing a narrative in an exam situation (for Paper 1).

Also included within the lessons is a full SPAG intervention programme focusing on this class’ three weakest areas for the exam: apostrophes, capital letters and commas.

These sessions will save you hours of planning and worked a treat with this class improving their individual scores for each question… I deal for middle/lower-ability.

Note: I always did the questions in this order: 4, 5, 3, 2, 1 as it an approach that worked well. Also, I’ve left some annotations on the slides - simply just delete the writing off the slide.
