A unit of work to write a over the top apology note (kind of a tall tale)

A unit of work, aimed at year 4 to and plan and write a Big Write.
The children really loved writing this, some very creative pieces were written.

Could be taught over 3 or more days.
By the end of the week, the children will make up a ‘tall tale’ to apologise for something.

A Smart Notebook - First 8 slides are SPAG - figurative language
A WAGOLL which ticks off the SC.
2 differentiated planning sheets (one for LA/EAL)
Success criteria - progressive and differentiated 3 ways.
A collection of word mats to help up-level writing.
