Empathy is the key to a world that enables wellbeing, inclusion, and collective success. With school absences and mental health issues rising amongst young people, we believe in developing this crucial leadership skill early and building the #EmpathyGeneration.
In this pack, we introduce you to what Empathy Week is. An annual festival of films, resources & events that develops the skill of empathy in students aged 5–18. Our 2024 festival is FREE for all schools.

More about Empathy Week:
Designed by qualified teachers and expert storytellers, Empathy Week is flexible and does not require a shift in your timetable. Ideal for pastoral time and assemblies, it also links to the UK curriculum in PSHE, RSHE and embedding SMSC in your school.
So far we have engaged over 175,000 students across 40+ countries, and 2024 is set to be our biggest Empathy Week yet!
This year our theme is ‘Home’. Through in-person events, powerful film-based assemblies, and incredible on-demand speakers, we will share stories from people from many different backgrounds and perspectives, and explore social issues such as the refugee crisis, homelessness, wellbeing, positive relationships, and war.
