Alphabetical Ordering with Symbol Cards

A phonics and alphabet activity for young children and SEND pupils using picture symbol cards. It is a useful assessment tool too.

Page 1 is a collection of alphabet colour noun cards from A to Z.
Page 2 is a replica of page 1 in black and white.
Page 3 shows all the letters of the alphabet in upper and lower case.

Activity suggestions:
1.Cut and order pictures from A to Z. As children get quicker at this you could introduce a timer. Children could work in pairs to start with.
2. Children can cut and match the black and white pictures with the colour versions.
3. Children could colour in page 2.
4. Children could cut and order the letters of the alphabet and match these to the pictures.

Enlarge, duplicate and laminate for durability and matching games.
Useful to as visual aids and for your classroom phonics displays or corner.
