A whole-class presentation to discuss the meaning of literary terms such as alliteration, repetition and metaphor, plus an activity sheet (differentiated three ways) to support the children in analysing their own text. A good text to use is The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes (available in full for free online) or they could use any other text they are currently studying.
