This is a complete 5-week GEOGRAPHY scheme of work, based on the Extremes of Antarctica . Written for Upper Key Stage 1, but easily adapted to suit KS2. Objectives covered: * To locate Antarctica and the 7 continents and 5 Oceans * To compare conditions in Antarctica and the UK. * To locate and identify features of the North and South poles. * To find out about a range of explorers who have reached the poles. * To understand the importance of preserving Antarctica and what we can do to help. Each lesson comes with all resources and an editable powerpoint. There is also a medium term plan for all 5 lessons.
