Booklet containing 16 practicals for Unit 3, Applied science (2016)
The practicals fall into the following categories.
- Enzymes in action
- Diffusion
- Plants and their environment.
- Energy content of fuels
- Electrical circuits
Each investigation includes; title, method, variables. Pupils are encouraged to use this to review learning. Space is provided underneath investigation for pupils to make notes. Further to this, their are YouTube video links for pupils that learn through watching the practical being carried out.
The first practical “Impact of temperature on lipase” has complete notes as an example for students to use.

Excellent as a revision resource to allow the students to recall and annotate all the practicals they need to remember for the exam. Links for videos also useful and provides a great scaffold for the students to work from.
Very brief with the method, not a lot of detail included. Also a lot of practical's don't include the variables at all. The method is missing a lot of steps for almost (if not all) experiments. Just watch youtube videos a lot better
The answers could be more developed but is ok apart from that
