Calculation activity suitable for AQA combined science trilogy HT. The excel sheet needs printing and the answer strip slicing so students just come and rip one off. Then just blu tac them around the room. I didn’t make the excel sheet or come up with the idea but whoever did was kind enough to make it really easy to edit.
I gave the students the answer sheet A3 and 20 minutes to work the 8 questions out. Once they’d done this I showed them the crack the code slide and they had to come up with 2 4 digit codes for 2 padlocks ‘locking’ a box with sweets in. The padlocks were just cheap ones from poundland.
