Creative writing pathetic fallacy lesson that explores how pathetic fallacy and personification can be used to change readers’ perceptions around mood, tone, setting and character. Includes examples, detailed teacher and student notes, engaging tasks, differentiated materials, and specific examples from famous English Literature texts.

Students then go on to create a description for a setting from their new narrative plan on a life-saving rescue.

A useful lesson for both KS3 and GCSE English Literature and English Language students.
