AQA Entry Level 2 Maths - Time

These resources have been designed for students working towards the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Maths who are working at Entry Level 2. It contains an age-appropriate,170-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 44-page workbook on time.

These resources will help pupils to achieve these outcomes:

know the seasons and months and their order
know that 1 week = 7 days; 1 day = 24 hours; 1 hour = 60 minutes; 1 minute = 60 seconds
read the time on an analogue or 12-hour digital clock in hours, half hours and quarter hours
read the time to the nearest five minutes on an analogue clock
find the difference between two times given in hours, half hours and quarter hours

PowerPoint Lesson

The editable PowerPoint lesson explains all the skills needed to achieve the above learning outcomes. There are many examples and opportunities in the PowerPoint for students to practice and apply their time skills to solve real-life time problems. The PowerPoint also contains links to several short videos on time and example time exam questions. It is ideal for introducing students to this component of the specification and for revision purposes.
