When High GCSE point score students are successful in joining an A level Physics course, they can take responsibility for their AS progress with this condensed resource to help them recap and revise key concepts during the long summer holiday. Hand this resource on results day to establish high expectations and an ethos of preparation. Answers and commentary to all AQA GCSE challenge level 3 and 4 questions are added. This allows the A level teacher to reduce marking time and enhance the quality of feedback at the start of the course. High impact!

The idea behind this resource is good, but the execution is very poor given that the resource is not finished. The structure (must-know facts and information for a given topic, followed by practice exam questions to apply these facts and information) is a good approach, but again, it is not finished. I would prefer more content in the facts and information section for certain topics, but there is a start for these and I'm happy to add to it. The issue is that there is nothing in the electricity topic, just questions. That means this section is not complete and the resource is not fit for purpose. If the author is willing to complete the electricity section this will be a useful resource, and I will happily edit my review. If the author is willing to add to the facts and information for each topic so it fully cover the required pre-learning for A Level, then it would be an excellent resource and again I would be happy to edit my review. In its current form the resource is incomplete.
