A lesson centred around the poem Shall earth no more inspire thee by Emily Brontë. This resource is aimed at students at KS4, studying the new Worlds and Lives AQA anthology but could be used and adapted for use at KS3 also.

This resource was made with support of the AQA Teacher’s Guide and aligns with ideas promoted through this by the exam board.

A detailed ‘Teacher’s Copy’ annotation of the poem, considering Form, Structure and Language, as well as relevant contextual factors. (WORD document)

Detailed lesson plan allowing for in-depth analysis of the poem. Easy to follow, and full of contextual information to hit AOs. The annotated teacher-copy of the poem is incredibly helpful and detailed. Highly recommend!
