This bear themed activity packet includes five activities. The included activities are B is for bear, bear paw prints, what do bears eat? activity, bear hole punch/lacing card activity, and bear cave gross motor activity idea. Your students are sure to have fun as they learn about bears through these play based, engaging activities!

Print several pages of the bear paws. Laminate and use in a follow the bear prints game. As an extension, you could do hand print art. When their hand prints are dry, allow the children to examine the bear paw print cut outs alongside their own hand prints. Ask the children to compare and contrast the bear paw prints to their hand prints. A black and white ink saving option is included for bear paws.

For the activity what bears eat, laminate the cut-outs. Put Velcro on a poster board, and put Velcro on the cut-outs. Ask the children to Velcro to the boards only the foods that bears eat.

Make as many copies of B b is for bear, and place the pages in your literacy center. You may wish to laminate B b is for bear page and give children dry erase markers. The children can use dry erase markers to write letter B b, or they can copy the letter on other paper. Both colored and black and white versions are included for B b is for bear.

For fine motor hole punch, let the children use a hole puncher on the circles around the bear. After using the hole puncher, the children can use string for lacing.

And for gross motor bear cave activity, set up a bear cave area for children to crawl in and out.
