Start your class with prompts to encourage a proper greeting, to talk about feelings, (I am happy, I am sad etc.), the weather outside (It is sunny, It is cloudy etc.), the day of the week (It is Saturday today etc.) and the month of the year etc. before revising the alphabet letters Aa – Hh.
Use this colourful, informative and graphic PowerPoint presentation to revise the alphabet Letters Aa – Hh by
- matching up the capital (big) letters to the lowercase (small) letters,
- matching word to the correct letter like A is for apple, B is for balloon etc.
After practicing the correct sounding out of these letters and words, get your students to read short easy picture sentences using these letters, words and sight words.
