Beginning with WH Phonics Work KS1

This resource can be used as Worksheets or flashcards.
Each of the 2 sheets shows pictures of things beginning with ‘wh’. Each picture shows the sound ‘wh’.

There are another 2 worksheets showing the same pictures but with the words written on top of each image.

Children can colour the pictures and write the sounds/words.
Children could match the pictures with the sound ‘wh’ to those showing the words beginning with ‘wh’.

Some pictures are easier than others and the teacher can differentiate for the ability or level of the children. e.g. wh is for whale is easier than wh is whirl.
