Botanical themed open-ended maths book for beginning of term, allowing students to show you what they can do.
Ideas for use:
- Download matching botanical number cards. Pupils choose two cards to create an addition or subtraction calculation
- Counting on in 2s, 5s and 10s etc.
- Drawing 2D shapes
- Position and direction e.g. 3 squares forward, quarter turn to the right, 6 squares forward…
- Fractions (draw a rectangle and see how many ways you can split it into quarters.
Print back to back to make a simple A5 folded booklet.
