British Values
Subject: Personal, social and health education
Age range: 11-14
Resource type: Lesson (complete)
A lesson focussing on British Values and linking this to Respect and Manners. Reflective questions about what it means to be British, how we show these values and what they mean to us personally. Power Point presentation with discussion points and some tasks and website links.
This resource is created with a Big Question and So What (context hook) in mind. I have used a TEEP planning cycle to structure the Power Point led lesson to include a Prepare to Learn (outside thinking task or activity), clear Learning Intents, New Information, Application of Knowledge tasks and then a Review.
As always with my resources I try to engage the students thinking by using real world examples, videos, pictured and current news items to help them to make links and think outside of the topic.
This lesson could easily be adapted to suit younger years and I have tried to offer easy to see ways to differentiate the learning by outcome, reflection or extended thinking.
Power Point would be easy to use, adapt or create extended resources / worksheets for.
