This FREE TASTER includes a 20 page booklet. Students will need access to Microsoft Access. By following the booklet, they will produce their first database.
Also included is is a collection of ERD questions and data for seven past controlled assessment papers. Students are asked to attempt an initial answers, then improve after discussion, and finally take down the correct answer. Also see the free taster video (see bold text below)
I suggest checking out my detailed Activity 1 (ERD / normalisation) practice booklets and DETAILED ANSWERS explaining why the answer is what it is, due to 1NF, 2NF, 3NF and many-to-many relationships (junction tables and Composite Keys). That can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12945626
I also suggest this discounted bundle of all my Unit 2 resources: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12945635
I have also created three sets of video walkthroughs. Written walkthroughs are also present in these resources, and are used in the videos. I show how to use Access and the activity templates to get a Distinction, covering all activities. Each exam resource page features a free taster video!
