A simple, quick word recognition test to give an assessment of a new pupil's reading ability. Doesn't test comprehension etc but gives a ball park assessment that is sometimes helpful.

Thank we have this in school already but I like the format of words.
interesting - I remember being assessed like this for reading when I was at school in the sixties! It would be useful if you don't already have other forms of assessment in place - thank you
