This is a GSCE lesson in the urban change unit. The lesson examines the factors responsible for urban growth or change in developed, developing and emerging countries. Key facts about the lesson are:
1. It's based on the new GCSE specifications.
2. It's a complete lesson with all the resources you need to deliver it - a starter, learning activities and plenary. All you will need is the ppt which I've attached. Just teach!
3. It has a range of activities relevant to the assessment objectives of the new specifications. There is a numeracy activity where students have to compare development indicators and there is a graph making activity which develop the geographic skills element of the new specs.
4. It has a couple of differentiated activities for students at either end of ability level.
5. It introduces development indicators which overlaps with the unit on development in the new specs.
