This unit looks at the different causes of WW2 and includes Historian’s opinions to help students form a cohesive argument about why the Second World War began.
This unit included 5 lessons covering the Treaty of Versailles, the League of Nations and the Great Depression, Hitler’s Aims ans Appeasement. There is a recap lesson pulling it all together, as well as an assessment and mark scheme. The first page of the assessment is a general recap of Y7 and 8 learning but can be easily adapted for your own academy for recap, recall and retrieval practice.
