Get your pupils acting and writing from the character’s perspective.

Through drama and writing tasks (3-4 activities) pupils will learn how to adjust their thinking of a character from an outside observer to the character themselves. What are their thoughts? How are they feeling? What does this emotion feel like in your body?

The lesson encourages peer assessment and group discussion, independent and paired writing and builds confidence in performing to an audience. Focus on description to elevate their writing and open questioning to encourage detailed answers.

Planned in accordance with the Scottish curriculum, these lessons can easily be adapted to suit your local curriculum.

Key elements of learning intentions, success criteria, assessment & a resource list are included. Links to related resource content and possible extension activities are also listed.

Available in colour & ink-saving options.
