Circles - Cycling Differentiater

After 12 years of teaching maths I got exhaused trying to teach so many different abilities at the same time. This resource allows a teacher to run three separate tasks of area and circumference with ease, simultaneously! Each of the three tiers can randomise questions, display answers or progress onto the next stage. This allows students to learn at the pace appropriate to them rather than having to be held back by or having to keep up with the rest of the class.

This resource has seven levels:

• Area and circumference of a circle
• Area and circumference of a circle (with harder numbers)
• Area and perimeter of a semicircle
• Area and perimeter of a quarter circles
• Area of circles with holes in
• Area of semicircles with holes in
• Area, arc length and radius of sectors
