Circles in Nature
This download teaches children about finding circles in nature in one complete math lesson.
There is a detailed 27 slide PowerPoint explaining what circles actually are, what makes a perfect circle, why they occur so often in the natural world and why they are so important to people. There is also an activity sheet to encourage students to go out and investigate natural circles and record their findings. I have also included a video of my own circles lesson (using these resources) which took place online for teacher’s understanding or to show the class.
This pack is great for teaching kids all about the mathematical shapes that naturally appear in our world.
