Lesson plans to be taught alongside the reading of ‘Cirque Du Freak’ by Darren Shan.
These plans were originally created for a lower ability/SEN year 7/8 class.
It would also work as a primary school English/literacy unit.
It includes 17 lessons, all designed to be an hour long. That is 145 slides!
The lessons are designed to be varied and engaging. Videos are used, as well as pictures to appeal to visual learners.
Opportunities for improving grammar, comprehension and writing skills are included throughout.
The unit ends with the opportunity for an assessed extended write.
