This is a fully editable, 60-slide PowerPoint lesson on using colons appropriately in writing. The PowerPoint explains when and how colons are used. It provides many examples and opportunities for pupils to practise using colons appropriately.
The PowerPoint also contains a link to a short video on semicolons.
Colons - 13 Page Workbook
This workbook includes five information sheets and eight worksheets on using colons appropriately.
Semicolons - 45 Slide PowerPoint Lesson
This is an editable, 45-slide PowerPoint lesson on using semicolons in writing. The presentation explains when and how they are used in linking two related sentences / independent clauses, in complex lists and in sentences containing conjunctive adverbs.
The PowerPoint also contains a link to a short video on semicolons.

This resource contains a 12-page workbook and includes two information sheets and nine worksheets on using semicolons appropriately in writing.
