Full project for KS3 on Colour Theory, Watercolour Painting, Monet and the Impressionists. Includes: Scheme of Learning, full lesson presentations (by project section), Independent Learning sheet for the full project (prep/ homework), scaffolding and writing worksheets, collection of reference images.
Pupils will learn how to care for water based materials and various watercolour techniques. They will refine their art critique skills and expand their art vocabulary. They will study Monet and the Impressionists and learn how to use watercolours to reproduce that style. A great project to introduce your pupils to watercolour and to refine their contextual understanding and critical analysis techniques. This project also offers opportunities for MAT differntiation through group work.
