Interesting resource for structuring a class discussion on The Diary of Anne Frank (either the play text, adapted for the stage, or the original prose text).

This lesson is structured as a ‘Community of Inquiry’ style, P4C (Philosophy for Children) lesson. Students to sit in a circle. Encourages active participation and respectful discussion about issues related to morality and ethics.

Great resource to use as a round-up / final lesson at the end of the unit after having finished reading The Diary of Anne Frank.

Most suitable for Y8 or Y9 English or RS students.

Two additional informative documents included about ‘Community of Inquiry’ style teaching, what it consists in, and how it can benefit your practice as a teacher.
