The letters are set up for French students to decorate and ice a 'Bûche de Noël' (Chocolate Yule Log) and German students a 'Lebkuchenmann' (Gingerbread Man). They were originally used at Christmas time alongside a cultural comparison regarding Christmas celebrations. A hugely popular activity that students never forget!
Letters have also been adapted to make crêpes with French year 11 students and pizza with year 7 Italian students. Great fun and wonderful bringing the language to life in this way!
