Lesson has a literacy starter and then a start introducing the concept of diary entries. Students are then introduced to an image of some shabby/grubby shoes. There will then be a class discussion about possible owners of the shoes. The students then write a diary entry from the perspective of the owner of the shoes.
There is a word bank to help, a homework/extension task. Peer assessment task and plenary.
