I created this as a transition activity for year 6. During the 30min session we discussed probabilities in terms of likely & Unlikely and moved on to probabilities using fractions. The students enjoyed this as the discussion of maths was light but also thought provoking as it was mostly students led.
Included:
PowerPoint for removing the revealed values
Box template for printing on red card
I have made the boxes deliberately complex so they are sturdy enough to be used more than once. For the values that get revealed I laminated them so that hey could be fixed with blu-tac so that they could be moved around to keep the game fresh. Alternatively you could print out a box image on a piece of card with the money printed on the other side.

Great idea to create discussion about probability. Thanks for sharing.
