Deeper Picture Analysis
A stand alone lesson to encourage students to develop their analysis skills of pictures. Lesson is based around one photo but can be easily changed to any engaging photo of your choice.
All work is completed on A2 paper split into the 4 sections as highlighted on the powerpoint. Students spend around 10 minutes on each section.
I give students different colour pens so I can monitor who is writing. I encrouage students write in any direction (upside down, on the side etc).
Students then write up a description of the photography.
Has been used with all year groups.
