Describing a Setting - Creative Writing

2-3 lessons work on describing a setting for creative writing using senses and adjectives. Aimed at Year 4/5 but all files can easily be adapted for different ages and abilities. Includes:
1. A power point illustrating the basics of scene-setting by describing senses. The images could be discussed as a class or in groups for later feedback. All images are supplied separately for hand out, if desired.
2. Activity sheets, easily adaptable depending on ability of the children. Extension includes use of similes for the more able could be extended further to metaphor and personification.
