This worksheet is for use in GCE Physics, both AS and A Level.
It will help the students to achieve the following learning objectives from Edexcel 2015 Physics specifications
- Understand what is meant by diffraction and use Huygens’ construction to explain what happens to a wave when it meets a slit or an obstacle
- be able to use nλ = d sinθ for a diffraction grating
Differentiation is evident as higher challenge questions are given in bold. Marks and space are provided as an indication to the students on structuring their answers generally following the A Level Board examination format.
