Topic: Financial literacy is the understanding of saving, finance, credit and debt management. It is important that young people have a good understanding of financial literacy, as it can prevent them from making poor financial decisions, and can encourage them to help them manage their money better. Student loans, flex culture and lack of awareness on this subject, unfortunately makes room for many young people to fall into financial turmoil. As teachers, it is important that we equip young people with the tools they need to be financially independent.
Product Description: These downloadable discussion cards are a great way to get your learners thinking about personal finance and becoming financially independent. The discussion prompts give learners the opportunity to share their knowledge, opinions and as a way to listen to other peoples perspectives about finance and money management. The cards are flexible to use in homeroom, as a starter activity or to compliment other SLEducation Financial Literacy – Financial Literacy A-Z resources.
