LESSON 4-6: This TRIPLE lesson continues the 11 lesson series (Media Lang power Point as well as a IND/AUD one) focusing on the Newspapers Industry and that of the ‘Daily Mirror’. It is important to note that this is based on the 2020 assessed text of the US Election. The new Brexit set editions will be uploaded shortly for assessment after 2021. This lesson focuses on:

-Partisan and Objective journalism and Fake News
-4th Estate
-5th Estate
-Pro’s and Con’s of the 5th Estate
-Ideological State Apparatus
-Mainstream ideologies of the UK’s leading newspapers
-Deconstruction of the Double Page Spread against ML and REp with a focus on Selection and Combination
-Study of purchased issue of the ‘Daily Mirror’. It is important to note that teh slides and resources are very easily adapted to the set edition of your choice. I have include my students set edition as a reference point.
-Mastery sheet task and completion of it for H/W.
NOTE: All H/W as well as task sheets, differentiated resources and audio/visual stimuli are included within the lesson.
