Updated for 2024: A research-informed lesson which discusses the effect of the porn/pornography industry and the permanence of sending nudes. This includes topics such as what is/isn’t legal, porn’s effect on the brain, relationships and society, and videos and statistics which explore these themes further.
The first videos are Terry Crewes and Billie Eilish talking about their opinions/experiences of porn, which gets pupils interested and engaged.
Lesson is built primarily around statistics and research found on the website: ‘fight the new drug’. It’s a very informative website where pupils could research this further in an accessible, but research-informed way. All sources are cited and further information is available for those who want to know more.
