This is a KS 3 Scheme of Work that uses Europe as a theme from which to teach many geographical skills. The focus is on key words and geographical literacy.
I do not cover ‘topics’ each SoW looks at a new continent and each of the geographical themes I have chosen to feature is represented in each SoW. This aids recall as students are regularly thinking back to work completed last term, or further, to inform the work they are completing. Regular recall questions ensure that the knowledge is strongly embedded.
