5 Activities included for Expo 1, pages 6 and 7.
(1) Introduction to new language - worksheet with grid on for students to complete. All key words from these pages are in grid, to match with English above. Mark out of 9.
Students could work in pairs and complete without the book. Look for clues (appelle(s) in both question and answer etc). Encouraging Independent Learning and Team Work.
*Reflection on Learning* - how do they work out this new language? What skills are used?
(2) French and English vocab of same language as Word document, for you to copy and paste onto Smart / Prometheus, so students can come and move word endings and translations around, to match. Do without worksheet and books to make more challenging.
(3) Gap-fill worksheet with new language. Words in bubbles at bottom. Could always delete these on a different sheet, for more able students.
(4) Speaking Game with Dice (one die in pairs will suffice) - once you have practised the pronunciation, students can play this Speaking Grid Game. Extension translation activity follows.
(5) Sondage - survey to be done around class. Includes instructions, grids to cut out and stick in books, which students complete during survey. Separate info cards, one per student (28 provided) to give info in French.
****This activity includes name, how they are and age - if numbers up to 20 have not been done yet, then you may want to delete the 'age' part or teach numbers first, from module 1****
