Want to provide students a chance to freely express how they feel throughout the day? Here is a fun design which lets students design their own jars, where they can put the tags/labels that represent their feelings on the spot. This helps teachers figure out which students might need emotional support (especially those quiet ones).
Apart from the given labels (in words & cartoons), there are empty colored ones that allow students to use the most suitable words that they can think of to describe their feelings at that particular point of time.
One good way of using this resource is to laminate the self-designed jar of the students and have that placed on their desks with Blu-tack, then assign a small box placed in the middle of each group to place the labels, organized by colors—students can just grab the cards there based on teacher’s instructions (for instance once at the beginning of the school day, once at break time, once before lunch and once at home time)
