Three worksheets requiring students to apply Fleming’s Left Hand Rule, to predict the direction of the force when a current-carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field. Includes answers.

Useful in magnetism and electromagnetism topics, studying the motor effect. I use these for GCSE and IGCSE Physics classes.

Worksheet 1 - Basic problems with 2D diagrams, and an extension activity looking at charges moving in magnetic fields.

Worksheet 2 - Basic problems with 3D diagrams

Worksheet 3 - A mixture of problems, including applications to moving-coil loudspeakers and electric motors. Further questions on charges moving in magnetic fields.

Great worksheet. Thanks. It would be even better if you added more questions about charged particles.
