French and German KS3: Learning Mats

These are two power points, each of two slides. The slides on each are intended to be printed off and copied, then laminated back-to- back to create a set of learning mats. These mats are then placed on students’ desks to support their learning during lessons in French and German.
The first slide gives short lists of some key connecting phrases, time phrases and high frequency words as well as the alphabet, numbers and question words in each language. These are intended to help students to be able to access reading and writing tasks more easily and independently at KS3.
The second slide displays some high frequency verbs in three simple tenses as a quick reference point when writing basic French or German at KS3
