Paired Dictation - Challenging passage about nightmare towns. Two versions: one with the target vocabulary and highlighted for one student to read aloud and one with blanks for another student to fill in as they listen. Good for vocabulary, listening, and phonics practise.
Oral Ping-Pong - Paired speaking activity to practise comparing what your town is like with what it used to be like in the past. Two versions with different vocabulary filled in. One student attempts to complete the translation accurately and the other student with the answer tells them if they’re right.
