This unit of work comprises six lessons and resources including Activ Inspire flipcharts for a unit of work about the topic of school (l’école). It also introduces pupils to French phonics. In this unit students will learn to:
*learn French Phonemes ou/oi/ch/eu
*recap and learn new classroom commands
*recap and learn new classroom objects
*practise speaking in full sentences
*recap and learn new phonics an/in/on/au
*write sentences describing classroom objects
*answer comprehension questions about a school timetable
*explain their preferred school subjects
Although this is aimed at Year 5, my students had only completed 2 years of French previously, so this could be aimed at younger or older pupils.
All French is translated, so non French speaking teachers can teach this unit confidently.
