This is a plan and resources for a French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning the French vocabulary for describing different scenes, such as cities or snowy mountains. The plan could be used for an individual lesson, or as part of a longer ‘my town’ unit. The children should have some prior knowledge of colours and types of buildings and homes before teaching this lesson.
The plan gives details of a starter, how to teach the vocabulary, a whole class listening activity, a speaking activity, a writing activity and a plenary. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills.
