Hello Amazing Fellow Educators! I graduated with a Master of Arts in Child Study and Education and teaching specialization in French as an Additional Language from the University of Toronto in June 2022. My resources aim to make students´ learning of the English, French, and Spanish languages authentic and fun, emphasizing the essential language acquisition skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

This oral assessment checkbrick/rubric can be used in your French language classroom to assess your students’ oral language skills by having them work with a partner to ask and give directions in a city of their choice. One partner will ask the directions to get to a place of their choice and the other will give the directions. They will be required to record a video of their dialogue (or you can have them present directly to the Teacher or their classmates.)

The curriculum expectations for this assessment are as per the Ontario French Curriculum guide categories of Knowledge and Understanding and Communication.
